My First Experience Learning Web Development

Introduction

After exploring how technology begins with curiosity, I wanted to take the next step and actually try building something myself. Instead of just learning concepts, I started applying what I knew through web development. This was a completely different experience, as it required me to understand how everything works behind the scenes. It felt more challenging, but also more rewarding because I was creating something of my own. This step marked the beginning of turning curiosity into real experience.

Learning and Overcoming Challenges

As I started working on my own projects, I quickly realised how important structure and organisation are in web development. Navigating directories and linking files together was one of the most confusing parts, and small mistakes could easily break everything. However, through practice, I began to understand how different elements connect and function as a whole. Learning how to use templates made a big difference, as it allowed me to update my work more efficiently. What I enjoyed most was seeing my ideas come to life and being able to combine creativity with technical skills.

Conclusion

Overall, my first experience in web development has been a valuable learning journey. Although I am not an expert yet, I am continuously improving and gaining more confidence. I’ve learned that it’s okay to struggle at the beginning because that is part of the process. Each challenge has helped me develop new skills and a better understanding of technology. I look forward to continuing to learn and advancing my knowledge in the future.

Templates were amazing when introduced to the concept, updating HTML in header/nav/footer in one location to make changes across multiple pages was a game changer.
